Quality: I’m going to call these Amethyst briolettes AA but then again not. I love a cut stone briolette, I don’t know why but they always appeal to me. These Amethyst beads at first glance look absolutely perfect, but they are not (what is, really?). They have some inclusions that are visible to the eye, but they are such lovely square cut stone beads that I love them anyway. They are in there though, you can see a cloud or two drifting in a couple of the stones – but they show off so brilliantly, I find the imperfections hard to detect (or when I do find an obvious one I kind of don’t care because the shape is so rare!). The color is a very clear purple and the stones are incredibly lively. They present like a very expensive stone, when in fact, they do not cost an arm & a leg! My favorite kind!
Amethyst how I love you, let me count the ways… There is nothing quite like the sparkle of amethyst to let you know that a gemstone is still a gemstone – no matter how frequently you encounter it, it’s got that special something.
