This genuine Tourmaline bead strand has:
Quantity: Fifty-two (52+) beads, approx. 7″ long
Shape: Faceted pear drop briolette
Size: about 4x6mm
Weight: 34ct
Quality: I’m going to have to call this Tourmaline an A grade. As you can see in the image – we’ve got a pretty snazzy tourmaline here – the color is lavish – it’s deep & rich & varied and the strand is generally transparent, but the stones do have visible inclusions. There are only two issues I have with these stones; one is that they are clear enough that you can see the inclusions in them, which is pretty common in tourmaline, two is that they are not perfectly cut and drilled. The cut is good but not perfect, and I saw one stone that didn’t sit nicely on the strand (it could be just that one, but better to mention it). At the same time, the juicy colors of the strand really do outshine the drawbacks, as the color is great and varied.

Like it or not, when you tell people it’s genuine Tourmaline (just like with aquamarine), their eyebrows will go up & they will have another look – they can’t help it.
