Grade: These are amazing Chrysocolla briolettes, I can’t remember the last time I saw chrysocolla beads like this just out there in the market! Chrysocolla can be difficult to find because it is such a brittle stone, that it’s difficult to cut into beads. It’s much safer to cut it into slabs & make cabochons. The color of this strand is beautiful. It really looks a lot like turquoise, it’s got a lot of green with deep teal & blue mixed in. There is a lot less brown than I expected to find, and it is a very beautiful & rustic strand. The cut is good & the stones are very well matched on the strand, although the faceting is a bit broad (which it kind of has to be on such a brittle stone). I’m impressed with how well cut the strand is, the drilling looks exceptional as well (I saw one ding at a drill hole, and it’s possible there is another I missed, but that looks to be about it, which again, is amazing for a brittle stone!) I’m not seeing any signs of abuse, it’s just a lovely, beautiful strand!
