Quality: I’m going to call this Amethyst Oval Gemstone an AAA, fine quality. There is just something about this stone. It’s got that ‘something special’ about it. It could be the deep, rich, candy-grape color of the stone – but that isn’t all of it. The color is a rich vibrant purple, and the stone is quite clean. I cannot believe how incredible this amethyst is – although I usually prefer a lighter color of amethyst, I love this one so much! The color is so rich & intense it’s outrageous!

It could be the traditional oval cut with it’s charming table (I’m a closet traditionalist), or it could be the incredibly lively cut. It just makes me think of treasure! You know how when you see a pile of gems for some mythical treasure or pirate booty? This has that magical quality about it – it’s treasure. I admit, I sat for a long time imagining what I could have made with this stone – and again, I come up short. I’m just not a designer – so I’m very excited to see what you will make with this lovely stone (I just might end up buying it back!).
