This strand of genuine Aquamarine nuggets has:
Quantity: 20 nugget beads (about 17″ strand)
Shape: Smooth natural nugget
Size: 30mm to 30mm
Quality: I’m going to have to call these Aquamarine nuggets about a C+ grade (it’s possible I’m being conservative here though). The most outstanding quality of these stones is the size of the beads – they are BIG! Some of them are 30mm long! They don’t appear to have been treated or dyed (as is usually the case) but the color is mostly white with a tiny hint of blue. In looking at the clarity, as you can see – they are very clear where there aren’t any inclusions (weird, I know). But these are quite typical for aquamarine beads, and some aquamarines are very milky and some are clear and some are clear with interior markings.

These are mostly smooth although there are some natural bumps & textures, and as you can see in the image. Finally, although the stones are in generally good shape, there are a couple of bum drill holes here & there – this is old stock, and not the same excruciating quality as most of the material we carry now.

Like it or not, when you tell people it’s genuine aquamarine, their eyebrows will go up & they will have another look – they can’t help it.
