Quality: I’m going to have to call this Aquamarine pendant bead an A grade. The only reason it isn’t higher is because it is translucent instead of transparent, and it is kind of expected that aquamarine will be graded on it’s transparency. At the same time, this is an amazing stone. It is such a smooth, delicious blue color and the gloss on it is so slick that you can’t keep your hands off it. There is a really appealing tactile quality to the stone – it is slick, chunky, & beautiful. The blue is smooth and deep without being bright. As you can see from the image (I hope) this is not an ordinary stone – there is something rather special about it! Truly, I’d be happy to keep it.

Like it or not, when you tell people it’s genuine aquamarine, their eyebrows will go up & they will have another look – they can’t help it.
