Quality: This Blue Opal beads strand has an awesome blue color with a decent amount of character in the strand. Although (as you can see in the image) it isn’t a uniform blue, it is a nice Blue Peruvian Opal although I would like to see more matrix & variation, it is probably better to have more uniform stones! Anyway, the cut of these beads is lovely, they are crisply hand faceted & large enough to appreciate the faceting. Although they do vary a bit in thickness, they are relatively consistent in diameter.

I was looking for more blue Peruvian Opal & having a hard time finding it – so I asked around and was brought this bunch (which was the last available), there isn’t much left and most of what is available is old stock – so I’m not too hopeful that I’ll be able to find more! They are in wonderful shape with no obvious signs of abuse, generally more blue than any other color, and quite rare!
