Quality: This Chalcedony Focal Bead is very cool. It’s a lovely soft grey color – it’s nicely translucent, and I want to describe it as soft, dove, neutral… and big!! Anyway, this is really a nice example of grey agate with a smooth, mostly consistent color throughout. It’s neutrality goes with everything – the faceting is flashy and crisp. There are some surface issues – this one has a small scrape looking thing, and has seen a touch of wear. In addition, the grey really is a grey color – it’s not as blue as it looks in the image – it’s hard to get colors right with the pastels. This stone in particular has acceptable drill holes – one feels a bit rough, but it’s not visibly chipped.
