This strand of genuine Ethiopian Opal beads has:

Shape: Faceted button rondelle shape
Size: 4-6mm
Weight: 22.8ct
Quality: I’m going to have to call these fiery Ethiopian Opal beads about an A grade. I tried a zillion times to get a good image of these guys & it was impossible. As I sit here looking at them, they are ALIVE with orange, blue, green, red & golden fire – the whole strand – yet in the image – meh. Maybe a bit of fire here & there – but believe me – these guys are pretty darn awesome. Yes, they are not the brilliant white, clear stones like that REALLY high quality beautiful material that we’ve seen – but these will give you great fire. There are a couple of brown spots on a few beads, but there are some incredible, fiery bright clear guys in there as well.

So I’ve read that Opals are the stone of hope, are the most powerful of healing stones, and best of all, amplify positive emotions. (so what I’m getting here is that Opal rocks!) Regardless, opal is a very delicate stone and should be treated gently to avoid cracking & breaking these lovely rich stones.
