Quality: I’m going to have to call this strand of Quality Garnet Beads an A grade. The it misses the multiple A grade because it is a bit included & a bit dark for a garnet, thus missing the radiance that a higher grade would bring. At the same time, it’s a rich vibrant red with the most charming cut I’ve seen in a long time. These beads are cut just like little Gemstone ovals (they come to a point in back with a faceted table on the front) only they are drilled through the side like a little briolette! Yes Virginia, you really can string gems, and I’ve got ’em. These Garnets are not perfect in finish, they have seen some road wear (check the image for abuse, it’s small, but it’s there), after all – someone cut them into gemstones first, then decided to drill a hole through them, no?

I love garnet. I love it’s versatility (it can put on the prettiest color). But most of all, I love how it feels. It’s slippery & shiny, and so very tactile – it’s a shame you can’t feel these, because they have that weight & slip that contributes to Garnet’s sexy appeal…
