This strand of Garnet Marquise Briolettes beads has:
Quantity: About 78+ beads (one 8″ strand)
Shape: Faceted Marquise Seed Briolette Drop Shape
Weight: about 44ct
Quality: I’m going to have to call these Garnet Marquise Briolettes about an A-. This is a difficult one for me, the stones look great at first, but then when I look closer I can see that there are issues with the cut of the stones. You know how sometimes stones don’t sit right on the strand?
Well these are they. At the same time, the color of the stone is really amazing! These guys are rich, bright, and saturated in color and the stones look quite clean. But when you set them down and look at them, you can see there are some surface issues on some of them, or that there is a bit of wear or an odd cut (you can actually see this in the image, just take a peek and you can see how serious/not the issue is). But then I go back to that amazing jello like saturation & I’m torn again.
The stones actually look great, but it is one of those strands that at first you’re like “wow” and then you go to take a closer look when you get ready to make something & you say, “hmmm”. It’s like that. I have a hidden love for a marquise shape I think it’s in the name – it sounds quite royal. Also, I didn’t see any real signs of abuse, they are hand drilled so the expected issues with drilling might be there, but they’re beautifully sparkling & richly saturated in color.
I love garnet. I love it’s versatility (it can put on the prettiest color). But most of all, I love how it feels. It’s slippery & shiny, and so very tactile – it’s a shame you can’t feel these, because they have that weight & slip that contributes to Garnet’s sexy appeal…
The beads in the image are the beads you will receive.
