This Imperial Jasper bead pendant is:
Quantity: 1 pendant bead
Shape: Glossy oval disc shape (it is drilled lengthwise like a bead)
Quality: This bead is awesome. This is some of the nicest Imperial Jasper I’ve seen in a long time. Imperial Jasper is not your average Joe of Jaspers – it is considered to be a ‘fine’ jasper. Generally, fine jaspers have egg-like patterns in the stone (I’m summarizing here). Although this Imperial Jasper does not show the prized egg patterns, it does show some of the reasons Imperial Jasper is different from many others. Imperial Jasper has a very fine, smooth appearance to it, almost buttery in it’s designs & color changes. I like to call it extravagantly subtle, because it truly is.
The ‘Pink Imperial Jasper’ can actually come in colors from beige to maroon, and the green is generally – yes, green. Some of the imperial jasper I have appears to have cracks or jagged markings on it, when in fact these are details within the stone, not surface markings.
This particular stone has an incredible, super gloss finish, but there is a little chip at one of the drill holes – but the glossy, creamy texture of this stone’s color & polish make these issues unimportant (I think).
The stone in the image is the stone you’ll receive.
