Quality: I’m going to have to call these Pink Peru Opal Briolettes about an A grade. This is because the color is a very beautiful variegated pink that makes this a really great strand of beads. It’s not that they are perfect, it’s that they have character! As a result, they are big in size, glossy in polish, and they remind me of the Peruvian Opal I used to see a lot of about 15 years ago. The kind that had bright pinks with lots of brown matrix mixed in & around the pink.

It should be noted (and I tried to make sure this was visible in the image) that the darkest pink stones in the center of the strand are an awesome pink on one side & have the brown matrix on the other (note the different sides of the strand in the images). In addition, these do not appear to have been abused at all – they’re in good shape, are pretty consistent in size, and have a lovely variegated pink across the strand.

Pink Peruvian Opal. So I’ve read that Opals are the stone of hope, are the most powerful of healing stones, and best of all, amplify positive emotions. (so what I’m getting here is that Opal rocks!)  Because opal is a very delicate stone, it should be treated gently to avoid cracking & breaking these lovely rich stones.
