This strand of Quality Labradorite Beads has:
Quantity: about 43 beads (one 7″ strand)
Shape: Faceted button Rondell disc shape
Size: graduated from 7mm to 10mm (big)
Quality: These Quality Labradorite Beads are going to have to have a grade AA, at least. These are great stones, they aren’t the kind that I gasped over that I found last year, but they’re good. They have a solid flash and an incredible cut. In particular, they flash when they are facing forward (which I always think is important with jewelry, because then you can see the flash when they are being worn, as opposed to only flashing when you are holding the piece of jewelry).
These labradorite beads are not calibrated for thickness – they are generally more disc or saucer shaped, and some are a bit thinner than others. They are hand cut in Germany (which is where my father & grandfather learned to cut stones, & I’m told where some of the best cutting is done) and you can tell. This strand of rondelles are just a cut above (bad, I know).
The beads in the image are the beads you’ll receive.
Labradorite has it’s very own cult following, those who just can’t get enough of that mysterious flash of labradorescence.
