Quality: I’m going to have to call this Quality Moonstone Pendant Bead about an AA grade, because this is one of the best of the bunch! This beauty is glossy, flashy, smooth, chunky, and happy to see you! In other words, it is a really nice piece without being super-gem-quality-crazy Rainbow Moonstone. It has a wonderful flash, and is very translucent except where there are clouds of opaque-ish areas near the four corners of the stone.
The flash is great & will show off from most angles (but not all) – this is an awesome, glossy, chunky square of moonstone that you just want to keep touching (& larger moonstones are difficult to find)! This moonstone inspires me – alas, I am not the jeweler – you are, so I must live vicariously through the beautiful things you will make with these! In addition, this stone can be used as a cabochon or a bead due to the drill holes being placed on the sides of the stone.

Moonstone is an alternate birthstone for June, and Hindu lore says that the radiant shimmer of moonstone is from captured moonbeams in the stone. Dreamy, eh?
