Quality: I’m going to call this Apatite Briolettes Beads about a grade A. The grade is not really quite as important as at other times because these are such unique & rare. I don’t often find such a rich & deep blue green color in Apatite, and it is not often cut into larger pieces due to it’s softness. Because it is so soft it is easy to damage and is rarely clean & unincluded & these are in amazing shape given the softness! There is so much that is spectacular about this strand!  To begin, the stones are BIG (for briolettes) the smallest of the strand are in the 11mm range and the middle stones are around 16mm! Also, the color is an incredible, forest-y blue green.

They are included but because of the way they are included some of them are actually kind of shimmery – it’s really quite cool. At the same time, this is Apatite, so you won’t find really clean, clear stones. They are included and in one stone I noticed an inclusion reached the surface (not a deal-breaker, but worth mentioning!). Finally, in the 17+ years that I’ve been buying gemstones, I have only seen apatite like this about three times.
