This strand of raw Garnet beads has:
Quantity: About 50+ beads (one 8″ strand)
Shape: Rough nugget shard shape
Quality: I’ve got to call these strands of rough Garnet beads a grade A, basically because of it’s stone quality. As (I hope) you can see from the image, it is a beautiful color. Garnet can be so beautiful, but is often too dark to actually reflect any light through it, leaving it dull and dark. This stone is red although I would like to see it just a bit brighter, as you can see in the image, the color is not totally consistent, most of the stones are more pink/red with a few more orange stones in the lot. As far as the problems with the strand go, the size is a bit inconsistent – some are bigger nuggets and some are more shard-like, but the color of the stone makes up for that to me. So the upshot is this – beautiful stone, medium consistency. I guess we can’t have everything, eh?
