Quality: So I too was curious about the difference between Ruby in Fuchsite Cabochons & Ruby Zoisite – basically the lighter green colors are Fuchsite and the dark greens with black spots are Zoisite. The Fuchsite often comes from India where the Zoisite comes from Africa. Most exciting – the blue ‘halo’ around the ruby is actually Kyanite! So beautiful!! Regardless, these are very light, soft looking Ruby Fuchsite cabochons that are in good condition. The finish is smooth without being glossy, and come in a lovely set! Granted, I’d personally like to see brighter, deeper colors – but I’m pretty picky about these things!
