This strand of genuine Smoky Quartz beads has:
Quantity: About 37 briolettes (one 8″ strand)
Shape: Faceted Heart Briolettes
Size: 6-8mm
Weight: 61ct
Quality: We’d call this Smoky Quartz beads strand about a grade A-.  This is because it has a lovely intermediate color (not so light there is nothing interesting, not so dark that it’s opaque). These are not perfectly finished beads, although the shape is good & the size is great, these have seen a bit of abuse over the years. The great part is that they still look really good, as you can see in the image.  Smoky Quartz can carry off some imperfections pretty well. Anyway, that is why these are less expensive than our spectacular high quality strands, because they have some issues (don’t we all!?).

For a long time, I just didn’t understand the beauty of Smoky Quartz. I mean, it was just smoky. Recently I guess I’ve matured, since I just love it. It has this sparkly glamor that can’t be ignored. I actually think it might be the greatest asset to jewelry – it goes with just about anything, and is really quite affordable.
