Quality: I’m going to have to call this Sunstone Nugget Beads strand an AA grade at least – these are really something special! I absolutely love the confetti Sunstone beads – I love any stones that are clear with phenomena in them! These guys have lovely orange inclusions that give the rich sunny sparkle. These have a warm orange color overall with plenty of coppery sparkle as well. These are some of the stones that I really want to keep for myself, but alas – I’ll never use them! There are a couple of strands that have a few dark specks which give them a bit of a shadow in appearance (i.e. they don’t perfectly match the other stones because sometimes they look like they have a shadow) but that is about the worst thing I can find to say about these guys. They are just spectacular stones! A really great find!

Sunstone is such a fun stone. It’s sparkle is called aventuresence, and is due to metal inclusions in the stone. I knew a gem dealer once who would tell a fable about how the sparkle in the sunstone is actually the spectacular beauty of the sun captured in the stone.
