Quality: I’m going to have to call this Tourmaline Briolette Beads a B+ grade. As you can see in the image – we’ve got a pretty snazzy tourmaline here – the color is bright – it has a lively mix of varied pinks & greens and the strand has some beautifully transparent stones, as well as some that are not as clean (I was a bit surprised at the clarity when I checked ’em out – I didn’t expect them to be quite so nice). These are not perfect – the color is great, but they are irregular in size, and I found that there were some irregular shapes (i.e. I can’t quite call them heart & I can’t quite call them pear either!) in there as well. I would expect to find less than perfect faceting on a few, and possibly an irregular drill hole.

Like it or not, when you tell people it’s genuine Tourmaline (just like with aquamarine), their eyebrows will go up & they will have another look – they can’t help it.
