Quality: I’m going to have to call this Yellow Tourmaline Briolette Beads strand an A grade. Although I have seen plenty of Canary Tourmaline Beads, when I saw these I realized that I very rarely see a whole strand of beautiful, rich, yellow tourmaline, which makes this a rather unique find. Granted, these are not incredibly clear tourmaline stones, they are clear and visibly included (so they aren’t cloudy, but they are webby inside – I think you can tell in the images).

The color yellow is rich & vibrant and because tourmaline has a nice hardness, it’s faceting is crisp and quite flashy. I do expect there to be a few issues with drilling here & there (as I always do with hand-drilled stones), but the cut is still pretty good. I am really pretty pleased with this strand – the color is really something special – golden & warm, it gives a rich glint for the holidays or a ray of sunshine for the warmer months!

Like it or not, when you tell people it’s genuine Tourmaline (just like with aquamarine), their eyebrows will go up & they will have another look – they can’t help it.
