These genuine Andalusite briolettes beads are:
Quantity: 66 beads (approx 7″ strand)
Shape: Glossy smooth pear briolette beads
Size: 3x5mm up to 4x7mm
Quality: When I first met Andalusite briolettes, I didn’t like her, I thought she was just a non-specific color with very little life in her. Until I learned that it is supposed to look that way. It looks like that because it is a pleochroic stone, which means it will show different colors from different angles, and that it is intentionally cut to display more than one color.
In the case of this strand, we’ve got a lovely pinkish green (maybe more olive) color going on. The briolettes have a lovely glossy smooth polish and are surprisingly transparent with obvious inclusions that give the appearance of rutiles in the stone & adds to the variety of color. They are quite small and not very uniform in cut – some are a bit long & skinny, some are a bit fatter around the middle, and these appear to be the type of briolette that might have an occasional drilling problem – I didn’t see any problems – they just look like the type that do have problems.
The beads in the image are the ones you will receive.
